Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 19, 1923. Graduated from Taylor Allderdice HS in 1941.

Army Air Force 1942–1946. Worked two years as telephone central office equipment installer with Western Electric Co. Joined the CAA as Aircraft Communicator and trained in Oklahoma City. Then served in Point Barrow and Cordova Alaska and Washington National INSACS. Later when the Washington INSACS combined with the Washington ARTCC, I worked there and at the Pittsburgh ARTCC.

In 1961 I transferred to the National Aviation Facilities Experimental Center near Atlantic City NJ. I retired from the FAA in October 1978.
