As the Airport Manager of a general aviation airport and industrial park I was responsible for all phases of the operation, maintenance, marketing and improvements to this complex. The airport is a complex made up of four (4) sections of land divided into air operations, agriculture and commerce. The airside is composed of a 5500' by 100' concrete runway, nav-aids and fixed base operation. The agriculture side is composed of approximately 1500 acres of farm land and a 38,000 head cattle feed operation. The commerce or industrial park is composed of approximately 30+ businesses. I was responsible for acquiring FAA grants and assuring that the airport was within compliance of all federal and state regulations.
A few of the accomplishments during my term are:
-installation of an A was 3 weather system
-reconstruction of a new 5500' by 100' concrete runway -installation of new runway lighting system -installation of new NDB navigation system -implementation of GPS approaches -increased tenant occupancy
