Phoenix Long Range Radar
 

These are pictures of the PHX LONG RANGE RADAR SITE Located 35 nautical miles north of Skyharbor Airport (in Phoenix, AZ) on top of Mt Humboldt in Tonto National Forest.

Installed June, 1958 and 50 years later still operating today, feeding data to ABQ & LAX ARTCCs Also data to the USAF and ARMY

This was the only FAA LONG RANGE RADAR in AZ until 1994, when one was also installed in Seligman, AZ (West of Flagstaff)
